01 The Challenges Organizations Face

Organizations experience most of their challenges through people.

The problem you can see — turnover, disengagement, an initiative that quietly stalled — rarely shows you the behaviors and conditions producing it. That gap is where most efforts fail, and it is where we work.

  • Leadership development gaps

Capable people move into leadership roles without the preparation those roles require.

  • Engagement and retention

Engagement initiatives produce short-term energy. Most people who leave disengaged long before they resigned.

  • Change that doesn't hold

Training lands well. Then attention returns to the work it was meant to change.

  • Organizational transitions

Restructures, new mandates and turnover arrive faster than an organization can absorb them.

02 Who We Partner With

Organizations carrying two sets of expectations at once.

Institutions carry their own challenges while remaining accountable for the people they serve. We work at both levels at once.

Universities & Educational Institutions

Leadership development, staff retention and institutional change — alongside student readiness.

Financial Institutions

Leadership pipeline, workforce development and culture — alongside community financial capability.

Government Organizations

Leadership development, capacity building and transitions — alongside outcomes that outlast the funding.

Community Organizations

Staff development, leadership capacity and program effectiveness — alongside the people you serve.

We also partner with corporations and employers, workforce-development organizations, nonprofits, and family- and student-serving organizations.

03 Why Organizations Partner With CBI

Information changes what people know. Behavior changes what they do.

People can attend the session, understand the concept, and still return to the same patterns on Monday. If we want behavior to change, we have to understand what is driving it — then create the conditions for people to practice something different, consistently.

  1. Mindset

What people believe about themselves, their work, and what is available to them.

  2. Behavior

The daily patterns those beliefs produce, including the ones nobody chose deliberately.

  3. Action

Structured practice that replaces inherited pattern with deliberate choice.

  4. Outcomes

Change that holds after we leave, and that you can report to a board or a funder.

Built around outcomes you can report

We design each engagement around what you need to demonstrate — leadership capacity, workforce resilience, accountability — and agree how it is measured before we begin.

Evidence-informed, not motivational

Grounded in behavioral science, leadership development, and organizational learning. Inspiration wears off; structured practice does not.

A proprietary methodology, delivered as a partnership

We bring the Cycle Breaker Blueprint™ rather than generic material, shape it around your goals, and build your people's capacity to sustain it.

04 What's At Stake

What this costs an organization rarely shows up on a balance sheet.

  • Leadership gaps widen

Roles get filled. Capability does not automatically follow, and the cost lands on everyone reporting to them.

  • People disengage before they leave

Turnover, inconsistent delivery and burnout feed one another. By the time it reaches an exit interview, the decision is months old.

  • Initiatives lose credibility

Programs launch well, thin out, and make the next one harder to fund. An organization that has abandoned three has taught its people to wait out the fourth.

A strategy only works if the people carrying it out are able to carry it out. That is the part most organizations underfund, and the part we work on.

05 The Signature Framework

One framework. Three systems. Three levels.

CBI's proprietary framework for designing and delivering evidence-informed behavioral change initiatives — three signature systems, delivered across three progressive levels, connected into one pathway.

How the framework is delivered

06 Why Organizations Trust CBI

Delivered, documented, and reviewed by people outside CBI.

Delivered — and invited back

With House of Ruth and Community Family Life Services, CBI delivered a trauma-informed parenting and wellness workshop. Four participants took part, and all four completed it. House of Ruth then invited CBI to join an ongoing parenting group.

The methodology, under academic review

Accepted following peer review for presentation at the International Conference on Social Innovation, Humanities, and Global Transformation — Tallinn, Estonia, November 2026.

Presenting to the field

CBI presents at the Washington Association for the Education of Young Children's annual conference, Seattle, October 2026 — on breaking generational cycles in early childhood and family systems.

Your involvement would be a valuable addition to the group and would provide participants with additional tools to support emotional wellness, stress management, and healing.

Kisha Jordan Assistant Program Coordinator, House of Ruth

From House of Ruth's invitation for CBI to join an ongoing wellness-focused parenting group.
